VEHICLE HISTORY:
The Henry J you are viewing was originally purchased new in Upper State New York. The second owner purchased the vehicle in 1982 and was a fellow club member who passed away in 1994 and the car was kept and stored by his family until the early fall of 2000 when I purchased it. The car was in original condition when I received it and as the pictures indicate it has been extensively restored as described below.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:
In the fall of 2000, this vehicle was repainted using acrylic enamel and prior to painting the body was stripped of the original grey paint to bare metal, primed and repainted. The body was in excellent condition and was damage and rust-free and as the pictures indicate it is in beautiful condition. All the chrome has been replated with the exception of the front hood molding, rear trunk locking molding and hubcaps which were all in good condition and did not require immediate replating. The interior is in great condition. The seats have been professionally re-upholstered in the correct color and material. The interior door panels and headliner are original and are in excellent condition. The dash and the steering wheel are in mint condition and the original rubber floor matting is close to mint. All window glass is also near perfect with no damage or chips. The window moldings are also mint. The engine compartment has been detailed to original configuration and a complete ignition system has been installed including plugs, points, condensor, distributor cap, rotor and ignition wires. The carburetor has also been replaced with a new old stock unit. The radiator is in excellent condition and the car runs cool in all temperatures and the motor runs smoothly and dependably. All four tires are brand new - 5.90 x 15 B.F. Goodrich 2 inch wide whitewall four ply polyester and have approximately 200 miles use since installed early this spring. The radio antenna is also new and the "Henry J" scripts on the trunk, front hood and glove compartment door have also been replated and are mint. The vehicle is also being sold with the correct A.M. radio which was in working order but was recently removed to replace the vibrator which has not yet been replaced. All the electrical components are in working order including the cigarette lighter, interior dome light, signal lights, dash lights, windshield wipers etc. The steering control is very solid and the car drives straight with no road wandering. The brake linings and cylinders both front and rear have been recently replaced and are in new condition. The muffler and tailpipe were also replaced. The vent window moldings have some pitting and the new owner might choose to replace or replate them.

Also included with the purchase of this car are numerous spare parts such as a NOS rear window, used overdrive transmission and complete linkages, ignition parts, fuel pump, starter solinoid and other small parts too numerous to list. Also included is the original Owner's Maintenance Manual and an original advertising brochure both in excellent condition.

As you can see by the pictures and description this Henry J Corsair is in excellent condition overall and shows beautifully. The reason for sale is that I have recently purchased another very rare vintage vehicle that I had been seeking for a number of years to add to my collection of early 20's Chryslers and simply do not have the space for proper storage of the Henry J. In the short time that I have had and displayed this Henry J, it has received a lot of attention from fellow collectors and the public at large and is an interesting, rare collectible vehicle and I will miss driving and showing it.
