Vehicle Description

Built by Kaizer-Frazer 1951-54, sold by Sears 53-54 as Alstate. This is a 51 Deluxe model w/o a trunk. Complete restoration.to 90% of factory original. No bondo,All rust was cut out of the top and rear of both 1/4 panels and floors and new metal was formed and welded in. The inner and outer rockers are reproduction parts. The front fenders are NOS. The motor:( Kaizer's own Supersonic flat head 6 cyl. 161 cu.in. L head) was rebuilt w/ NOS std. crank, cam, timing gears, and flywheel and .030 over piston and rings. The starter, generator, water pump, and fuel pump were rebuilt. It has a 3 sp. transmission w/ overdrive. The car has new brakes, tires, glass, rubber seals, exhaust, fuel lines, brake lines, and radiator. The gas tank has been removed and cleaned. All the chome has been redone or replaced, except the name on the rear of the car, and there are some parts under the hood that has been chromed. The material used for the interior is "95" Grand Marquis, 2 Tone Grey, w/ original Henry J design. The inside door handles and window cranks are from a 32 Ford. The taillights are from a 53 Buick. It has after market turn signals, and radio,( Works). The original color was Forrest Green, now painted Meadow Green Met. Pearl. The speedometer shows 35992 miles, but can not varify that. I bought the car used in 1993, invested $20,000.00 and 8 years, finishing it in July of 2001.This car rides and drives like a baby buggy. One of the nicest original ones in the midwest.

Vehicle Condition

There are no blemishes in the body, or interior that I am awear of. The transmission needs a selinoid for the overdrive to work. It needs a speedometer cable, ( it broke the last time I drove the car). The horn is not hooked up, and the temperature  guage is bad .( I have another guage) The paint is rubbed off the front frame and sway bar from tying it down in the trailer. This car was built for the wife to show, but she only got to show it 2 time before she passed away. Reno,Nv. 2001, Peoria,IL. 2002. This car has only been showed 1 time since that time Detrot, Mi. (Autorama) 2003.It got a 97 out of 100 points. It only has about 100 mile on it since it was finished. I also have a set of restoration pictures to go with the car. The pictures you are looking at were taken in Jan of 2003.
